I have known Renn for over a decade and have had the privilege of witnessing her dedication, resilience, and creativity firsthand. Through both personal and professional challenges, she has remained unwavering in her commitment to understanding, supporting, and uplifting others. Now, through her books, she extends that same passion to children and families navigating life’s complexities.
Renn is a classically trained musician, a successful businesswoman, and a lifelong learner who has turned her vast experience into beautifully crafted children’s books. Her writing blends storytelling, poetry, and illustrations to create a meaningful experience for young readers and their caregivers. These books are not just stories; they are conversations—designed to help children process emotions, develop resilience, and feel understood.
While her books are primarily for children in preschool through early elementary (K-3/4) and their parents, they also serve as an invaluable resource for educators, therapists, and caregivers. Renn’s ability to address emotional challenges with warmth and honesty makes her work a powerful tool for families—whether a child is struggling or simply exploring the world around them.
Her stories bridge the gap between storytelling and real-life experiences, offering a gentle but impactful approach to emotional awareness and growth. They encourage parents and children to connect through shared reading and discussion, opening doors to conversations that might otherwise be difficult to navigate.

One Million Times I Love You could only be written by someone who knows “It’s what we cannot see that counts”. Renn James has opened her heart and imagined all the ways we can tell each other “I love you”. Renn’s imagination brought forth these delightful, brightly coloured characters that will bring a smile to you, like sunshine on a cloudy day. Ms James has captured the spirit of loving reassurance told by charming characters. A story you can read alone, or together, One Million Times I Love You can be picked up and read over and over.
